This collection of collages started in 2014 as a response to popular media produced in the United States about international travel. For instance, while the message about Guatemala from the State Department emphasized its depleted economy, the images of Guatemala produced in the country itself represent its deep history and vibrant culture. All pieces investigate the layered and complicated history of the places they depict.
